The potatoes were thick and incredibly fluffy, and the smoked oyster sauce added a delightful twist with its smoky and nutty flavors, elevating the potatoes to another level. The salad featured raw endives that were sharp and slightly bitter, while the cooked endives brought a nutty and more mellow taste. The main flavors of the salad were sour, creamy, and crunchy. The salmon had an excellent balance of warm, toasty notes from the brown butter and a refreshing acidity from the citrus. However, I must admit that the tartare was my least favorite dish. Everything else was so outstanding that this one felt overshadowed. I thought it needed a bit more seasoning and could have benefited from either additional crunch components or a smaller amount of cauliflower.
I wish I could give Dreyfus 6 stars! It's the best French bistro I've visited in years! The menu changes regularly, so there’s always something new to try. We've been there more than five times, and it’s always a delightful experience. The food is consistently excellent, and the wine and drink selections are fantastic. The ambiance is charming, making it perfect for couples or small groups. I can't wait to return to experience their new menus in the upcoming year!
Great atmosphere, friendly service (bit long with menu explanation), beautifully plated and great food, reasonably priced, and solid alcohol selection (more dessert wines). The asparagus and cheese was a wonderful dish. We also had the salmon, and the burrata with peppers. Finished a cheese plate with clowns (loved these). Highly recommended.
Incredible dinner. Hats off to Peter for looking after us. We sat at the bar corner, which made it feel like we had a corner all to ourselves. I didn?t make the booking (thanks better half! but I?m told it?s hard to get into, so if you love French food it?s worth the effort. The Zucchini flowers and Shrimp on Toast were home runs. The Duck main and the Natural Wine (ie no hangover! are honourable mentions too. Look forward to coming back again soon.
The food is great. However, I think the best here is dessert. The restaurant was louder than I had expected but it wasn?t intrusive. It has a very cozy vibe since it?s so small. One downside tho is that they do not have any coffee or tea. Was disappointed since the dessert was so good I really would?ve appreciated some coffee with it. Otherwise, service was excellent, and the restaurant was excellent.
