Fat Lamb Kouzina - Toronto

So not to discourage anyone but this place is grab and go and unfortunately not sit down. But the food is damn amazing. Having fallen in love with Greek food Fat Lamb is delicious. All the food is meticulously prepared and taste just like your in Greece. They are notorious for there amazing homemade pitas and the meats are succulent . A fast food replacement that even your mama would love you having.

Seriously, there were 10 customers including us in the place on a Saturday afternoon and 7 were young greeks, just like the owners (family) who run the place. Counter order style with lots of home cooking specialties, coffee and some ingredients on offer from Crete - e.g oil, honey, oregano. Most items on pita house made, a little saucy, a little oily, but great flavours. I had the roast lamb with a village salad side - tons of olives, crunchy bread croutons, peppers, onions, tomatoes and a slab of feta which was unusually huge. Greek coffee, great looking tiropita and spanakopita (Cheese and Spinach pies.) We'll be back.

It feels like you have stepped into a relatives kitchen in Greece. Absolutely amazing home cooked food. I recommend everything! I must visit for real Greek food. OPA

Hands down the best gyro in town. Can't wait to go back. Our food was amazing. We had the pork gyro and tiropita. The homemade pita bread really makes a huge difference, it was light and crispy. The prices are very reasonable for quality food. Fifteen bucks for a lamb dinner is a steal!

Had walked by this little gem a few times before finally deciding to go in and give it a try. I was very happy that I did. Although it was 5 minutes before they closed (5:00 pm closing time unfortunately) the co-owner Vera was very pleasant and took my order to stay in. Chris (chef and co-owner) whipped up an incredible Bifteki gyro which consists of their phenomenal homemade pita bread topped with the meat, red onions, tzatziki, and paprika. The meat was juicy, very tasty and not overly seasoned. I also had a side of their lemon oregano potatoes which had the perfect layer of crispiness to the outside of the wedges. Very good value for such great tasting food. I highly recommend this place if you are craving good Greek eats and don't want to break the bank to do it.
