Contribuisci feedback(my photos are dark, because I have manually made dark photos, the lighting in the restaurant is actually on hidden gem in ossington. great ambiente. great food and drinks. had the Thai sausage (very unique aromen! and the flat iron steak. both super! could also be a nice place for a date.
A trendy Thai restaurant has recently opened on bustling Ossington Avenue. Surprisingly good! It has received a Bib Gourmand from the Michelin Guide. The appetizers are very tasty and the sauces complement them perfectly. Refreshing and delicious. The main courses are also excellent, with the duck breast and curry sea bream standing out as particularly delicious. Highly recommended.
The dining experience at this restaurant and the ambiance of the street it is located on are fantastic. Unfortunately, I have to deduct a star due to the poor service. The server was oddly unfriendly, not necessarily rude, just peculiar and distant. The aromas of the food were undeniably authentic Thai aromas. While the prices may be on the higher side, the quality of the food is excellent. The wine selection by the glass is not extensive. The outdoor tables are closely packed together and not very comfortable. Overall, I would still recommend this restaurant.
Super cozy spot located behind Sam James. Our server was super nice and friendly throughout our visit. Easy 5 stars for service. Unfortunately with our food, we have to give it 3 stars.Pork secreto was the star of the night. AAA tenderloin Thai tartare was a close second and third favourite of the night was their razor clam special. We did find the impossible pork on the pineapple bites salty. The charcoaled grill veggies had a great sauce that accompanied the dish.We decided on a tasting menu and my initial thought with chef’s choice was that there’s a fixed price and we would be getting a variety of menu items but it wouldn’t be full size. We were asked about our hunger level and any allergies as they would accommodate what we would be having based on our answers. We got around 6 dishes, one being the special of the night. When we got our bill, each dish was regular price with the exception of the pineapple bites. Our dishes turned out to be full size, recommended by the chef. If we knew about the pricing, we would’ve been comfortable without the curry of kobocha squash (the 6th dish) we were really full after this. Just an FYI to those reading this review.
Favorit is my favorite Thai restaurant in the city of Toronto. I was drawn in by the interior design as soon as I entered the restaurant. We started with the Thai sausage, which was surprisingly flavorful and delicious. It was served with a tasty marmalade on the side. For our main courses, I had the sea bream with greens and my boyfriend ordered the duck curry. I finally found a green curry that had the perfect level of spiciness, and it was enhanced by the addition of seaweed and sweetness. My boyfriend also enjoyed his dish, even though he isn't typically a fan of green curry. We were impressed by the creative dishes on the menu that you don't typically find in Thai restaurants. We will definitely be returning soon.
