Hero Certified Burger - Toronto

I discovered Hero Certified Burgers when browsing a map and decided to give it a shot. We visited the location just a little south of Sheppard/Yonge, Toronto. The restaurant was very relaxed and comfortable but still nicer than a fast food spot. The food was prepared exactly to our specifications and was freshly made so we had to wait maybe 10 minutes. The server was very patient and courteous while I chose the fresh dressings for my order and she explained my options.The server brought the meals directly to us where we sat. The burger was moist, the bread was fresh and the sweet potato chips (fries) were the best I ever had. The strawberry shake contained chunks of real strawberries! If you know you suffer with "too much choice dilemma", I suggest you view the menu on the website first. The variety is amazing. You get to chose the type of meat in your burger, the weight of the burger, the type of bread (even gluten free) ... everything. It's seriously a build-a-burger or build-a-meal situation. The cost was obviously greater than a fast food place but less than what we'd pay at a sports bar. We paid $33.71 CAD (after taxes) for a pair of 6oz Hero Burger combos, including switching out regular chips for sweet potato chips and choosing shakes instead of carbonated drinks. Two walls of the restaurant were glass so we could see directly onto Yonge Street and Johnson Ave. There was outdoor seating also.

I would give this four stars when it comes to a quality burgers and fries place.

I ordered a classic burger from this restaurant but it came with no toppings like tomatoes, salad, or onions. When I called to complain, they refused to take it back or offer a refund. This is a scam! I will never eat here again and will report them to the authorities.
