After visiting the Toronto Christmas Market, he treated us to dinner there. The menu features typical Chinese dishes like fried rice and noodles, as well as fusion dishes inspired by Indonesian, Singaporean, and Thai cuisine. Daily specials are written on white boards on the wall, with a heart next to popular items. We ordered two popular rice dishes, a noodle dish, and a chicken dish in tomato sauce. Each meal came with a choice of three types of soup: Chinese (simple with carrots), creamy, or tomato. The food reminded us of Singapore's Hawker Food and the Hawker Center Essen. Prices are a bit high, with average rice dishes costing around $12.
The pork chop with onions at this restaurant is the best I've had in China Town. It took some time to find the stairs to the second floor, but the service was great. The flavors of the food reminded me of my trip to Hong Kong a few years ago, bringing back many memories.
Great price for the part of food, very tasty. Love your lunch. For $8.95 we get a main course, daily soup and a coffee or tea! Come on!
This is our first visit. From the previous review it seems that this place goes down in food quality. If you are looking for high quality Hong Kong fusion food, you need to go to Markham or Richmond Hill right now. Can be the safer option... is pure cantonese food.
I seldom frequent this restaurant because the service is subpar compared to the local competition. Used to be a semi-regular customer on weekends. Though the dishes are adequate and the prices competitive and they renovated the restaurant recently, which requires walking up a long flight...of stairs. However they haven’t renovated the service -it still sucks. Service is slow and I have to sit at the table for an extended period to pay my bill. Even with paying a 10-15% tip doesn’t improve service. Only one of the waitresses is OK. They lost a regular customer in me. Lots of Chinese restaurants in Downtown Chinatown with good food and service who would appreciate my business. Chinese Restaurants like Canteen, Swatow, Rol San, king Noodle House, Lee Garden and Rosewood etc.
