We were here a few months ago and thought the sushi was decent. We were on 20. September back in the area and wanted to go back there. The young lady told us they were full and if we really wanted to wait for a table. It wasn't really full, but it was hard to see so we waited outside. We noticed that 3 different people came in after us and immediately got room. No one left the restaurant while we waited. I went back to ask, and the lady said that now a table is available (have no one left and 3 new people go in). We had a double car with us and I asked if this is the reason we didn't sit and this person claimed that she didn't even see our stroller. If the stroller was the problem I said, we would have folded it. We could have left it outside. But why do you tell us that there is no room for us to sit on other people? I also saw empty tables at the back of this place. Why don't you just tell us that the stroller was the problem when that was the case? A very good thing came out of this whole thing. We left Kibo and walked 5 minutes east along St. Clair and found the most beautiful place called Moong Sushi, just 5 minutes walk. We left our stroller outside and enjoyed one of the best sushi we ever had at Moong, along with welcome. If it wasn't for this experience, we wouldn't have spotted Moong, so it wasn't so bad.
I'm here to celebrate my mother... The atmosphere was great and the servers were attentive. The food was great... The employees were very on one of our parties shell allergy. I wish they had a desert on the menu.
I ordered from Kibo Sushi through Door Dash. I ordered 1 Spicy Salmon Dragon roll and 1 Aburi Salmon Dragon roll, specifically requesting no avocado and no cucumber. Unfortunately, both rolls came with avocado and cucumber despite my special instructions on the ticket. The Aburi Salmon was also not torched as advertised. The quality of the sushi overall was not great, with dry and hard sushi rice and cold shrimp tempura. I will not be ordering from Kibo again. Kawa Sushi offers much better quality and can accommodate nutritional restrictions upon request.
This was my second time visiting this charming sushi restaurant. The first visit was for a birthday celebration and both the food and service were excellent. However, on our second visit, we were less than impressed. The restaurant seemed quite busy this time around, with only the front tables being seated and the back booths empty. We waited for 25 minutes to be seated, despite there being empty tables available. Once we were seated, it took a long time to even get water or place our order. It seemed like the takeout orders were the priority, as they were very busy. When our order finally went in, there was a lot of waiting and many mistakes. The tea I ordered was late and cold, and refills were also cold. Additionally, there were errors on our bill. Overall, I would have to give this restaurant a negative review. While our first visit was enjoyable, our second visit was disappointing and I would not choose to dine there again.
