Kintako Japanese Restaurant - Toronto

I went here for lunch one day when I was shopping in the neighborhood.The meal started with complimentary noodle soup delightfully delicious and light.The decor is clean and fresh with dark wood accents.I ordered the Teishoku sashimi 12 piece lunch set.Delicious fish, nice and fresh. Rice was cooked well, and had just the perfect amount of stickiness.The set came with salad. The ingredients were good and chilled so it was refreshing. But the dressing used was a little too sweet for my taste.The miso soup was average.The slice of melon was under ripe, but that was the only negative thing.Service was great, attentive without being overbearing.They have free street parking in front of the restaurant, except for during rush hour.Will be back to try some other dishes.

This restaurant is next store to the fitness studio we go to in Leaside.The owners are amazing and extremely passionate about their food and their customers.In a time where many restaurants don't really care about their customers from a satisfaction point of view, they go out of their way to get to know their customers and what they want/like.Their food is always fresh and very good.I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone wether it be a business lunch or a family gathering.You will not leave disappointed.

Having seen the high ratings, I decided to visit this restaurant. The exterior appeared a bit dated, but once inside, the tables, booths, and chairs were clean and well-maintained. The server was friendly and prompt in providing menus. We ordered the dinner for two, which included a salad, tuna soup, adamame, tempura, Mizo soup, and a impressive boat with flaming salmon, green roll, and California roll. The portions were small but delicious, especially the salad with sesame oil and the fantastic noodle tuna. The tempura dish was huge and filled with shrimp, yam, cauliflower, and peppers. Everything we tried was beyond delicious. We left feeling satisfied and eager to return. I highly recommend this restaurant for its excellent food and outstanding service. They also have a full vegetarian menu. Parking is available on the street next to the restaurant, and the atmosphere is kid-friendly with children's images throughout. Don't forget to like and follow!

Cozy spot for sushi. Fish is very fresh and nicely plated. There are also crayons for drawing. We ordered the Laird platter and it is very filling for two people.

Great little sushi place! Quality of sushi is pretty great for affordable prices. I always get take out platters from them, but I just ate in the other day and the atmosphere is super cute.Only issue was that it was busy when we went service was a bit slower but it wasn't their fault. Luckily we did not have to wait for seating but some parties did, so you may want to consider making reservations during peak hours as it is quite a small restaurant.
