Rude waitstaff. You never checked how I did that or if I needed anything else. I didn't get the Har Gow I ordered, and when I flattened a waitress to let her know that I never got it and just picked it up from my order, she got a surprised fucked look on her face and went away and then went on to pass on my table several times without letting me know if they let my original waiter know or if something had been done to take it from my original waiter. When I dropped my waiter and let him know, he took the ticket and removed it without excuses. I was also charged for hot tea when I didn't drink. The reserve ribs were decent, the Sui Mai was fine. The rice noodle with shrimps inside was completely tasteless. I did this occasionally when my father had a Dim Sum restaurant and we enjoyed the shrimps. I'm not one of those people who put Sriracha on everything, but when I dive Dim Sum in Sriracha, it's because the Dim Sum I eat is tasteless and I have to go up somehow. I'm a tipper, but the day I've eaten in this place, I have $17.00 on a $16.39 bill and true, that was more then she deserves! What a waste of a subway ride to eat in this place! Never again.
This restaurant is one of our top picks in the city for dim sum. It's perfect if you're downtown and don't want to make the trek to Markham. The menu has a great selection of fresh, well-made dishes. Unlike some other restaurants, this place isn't as hectic, so you can enjoy a nice atmosphere and have a conversation while you dine on delicious dim sum.
Personally, I think this is the best dim space in downtown Toronto. And it's a very popular dimm-sum restaurant for Westler. The taste is great. The food content is good. The environment is elegant. The price is reasonable for me. I and my friend had a good lunch for only 34dollars. (Each sum costs 5~6)
It is a nice restaurant with a good dim-sum menu nicely plated, especially the desserts, a few that come in the form of rabbits or hedgehogs. The dumplings are juicy and hearty on the inside with a beautiful bite to dough packaging everything. The rice rolls are well packed and filled. The fried noodles were beautiful and crispy and we are perfect with the sauce they just really softened.
