La Mexicana - Toronto

Back again at La Mexicana and still not over the wonderful flavours! Today we got the enchiladas, elote, el burro and churros and we were not...

Called, and very rude staff answered the phone, never ever go here, don't waste your time. And also by the look of it 3 star, it doesn't make it any more...

I've been going to La Mexicana for about 30 years! Hadn't been in several years due to Covid and not living or working near it anymore, but went back today...

This restaurant has been a favourite of mine for many years. I can't even remember my first visit, it must have been at least 20 years ago. While I don't come here regularly, every time I do, the food is consistently excellent and flavorful. The owners and staff are always very friendly, and the dishes are always freshly prepared. They are also willing to make small adjustments to the dishes if you ask (such as making it more or less spicy, or adding more salad and less rice). The Mexican beer and soft drinks complement the meals nicely. The service can be a bit variable, but I have personally never experienced the lack of service that some others have mentioned in their reviews.

This is probably my favorite restaurant. I've been a bunch of times and I've never been disappointed. The service is always good. The only thing is the rice could be better.
