Pupusa is the typical Salvadorean food and is a kind o tortilla filled with cheese, beans, and chicharrones. But at La Pupusa Loka, you can also find a lot of other options of salvadorean dishes, as you can see in the menu 's photos.Tip: it is better to make a reservation and order in advance what you are going to eat because on a Saturday afternoon, the place is literally permanently full.Excellent Salvadorean food in this restaurant.
The food at this restaurant is satisfactory, particularly the pupusas which are quite good. However, I have visited a few times and have found the service to be slow. There are not enough waitstaff available, resulting in a long wait of about 1 hour and 15 minutes for food. When I asked the waitresses for assistance, they ignored me which was disappointing. They should be more attentive to the customers. Additionally, I observed that the restaurant allowed people from outside to come in and sell chocolates, and the entertainment went table to table asking for tips, which I found to be unprofessional. The parking situation is also very poor as there is no designated parking available.
My go to spot for fresh pupusas! I usually do take out, order them via phone and they're ready in 20-30 mins. Great price for authentic, quality, fresh food! Staff are always kind and attentive!
As a self proclaimed pupusa connoisseur who’s tried basically every pupusa spot in Toronto, i can say: These are THE best pupusas in Toronto. Don’t even waste time going somewhere else! Also the place reminds me so much of Latin America, and the staff is lovely.
This was my first time dining here, and it has a charming mom and pop restaurant feel. The servers were very friendly and attentive. The pupusas were absolutely delicious. It was quite busy on a Friday night, but the prices for the food were surprisingly affordable given the high quality and generous portions. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.
