Latin American Emporium - Toronto

This place is amazing, they sell real and authentic Latin food, at great prices. To be honest the tamales were better than my grandma's back home in Mexico ..... but don't tell her!! The staff here is so friendly so I really recommend this place to anyone who likes Latin food.

The pork papusa had the perfect soft and crunchy texture, with well-seasoned and plentiful pork filling that paired perfectly with the vinegary coleslaw. The tamale was incredibly tender with a balanced flavor - not too sweet or salty. The corn flavor enveloped the spicy shredded chicken, creating a heavenly combination that made me sigh with pleasure after the first bite. I absolutely adore this place. It has a cozy, family-owned feel where everyone seems to pitch in to create a fabulous dining experience. It's truly a special treat.

I found the Revuelta a bit tricky to cut into at first, but after a few bites, I really started to enjoy it. The dish was simple and tasted like homemade cooking. The refried beans inside the shell were delicious, and I particularly enjoyed them as I have a fondness for refried beans. The dish gave me a feeling of comfort food.

Emporium Latino, located in the heart of Kensington Market, is a hidden gem worth discovering. Despite its small size and unconventional location in the back of a Latin American goods store, this eatery offers a delicious selection of pupusas and tamales for around $3 each. The pupusas have a thick and crispy fried base, while the tamales are filled with soft and heavenly corn dough. Although the space is limited and may not be ideal for a romantic first date, the friendly staff and amazing food make it a worthwhile visit.

Who doesn't love street food?!<br/ <br/ Was fortunate to walk by emporium Latino during a street festival and had the pleasure of trying their pulpusas. Soft and doughy, filled with cheese and pork and a nice spicy of sauce and coleslaw on top. Wonderful combination of textures and flavors<br/ <br/ Despite watching the friendly staff prepare the food in front of you..it really tasted like home cooking. Recommend to give it a try. Will not disspoint!
