The service and food quality are average, but the presence of self-serve kiosks helps to minimize long wait times. Overall, this McDonald's provides a convenient dining option despite some cleanliness and security concerns.
Typical McDonald, located on a busy street with homeless lurking around the entrance. Closes for unforeseen reasons, better have a backup in
It is a McDonalds. What else would you expect for it 's food? Those who had the American version of McDonalds know what they are getting into. Rose who don 't, it is the typical fast food fare; not bad, not good, but it gets the job done. All I can really review is the service and location. Service is typical fast food service; you order, you pay, then you get your food. No fuss, no drama. As it should be.The location is at the heart of downtown Toronto. So you have the constant problem of homeless people and the rough folks. With the free WiFi, they would go in there and just hang around (maybe get a water cup for water . If they are kicked out, they hang out right outside to be within the WiFi range. The location itself is in a rough state. The design and furnishings is the modern design that incorporates the McCafe branding that is now known on other locations too. However the details create this atmosphere and look that tells those who stay in there that there is a need to do a deep clean and repairs.Seats that are worn/torn, tables that are in rough states and marked up when looked at any detail (when you 're staying for a dine-in, your eyes can 't help but see these . One of the pop machines were out of order during my visit. That makes the one remaining one to be always used and it leads to the pop syrup to run out faster. I would know because when I tried to get some sprite, it was almost just soda water. A majority of it 's dine in seating is not available/closed too (it has a 2nd floor that is closed . It is probably to deter the rough crowd from just hanging around.Overall, it is a location that you would definitely visit to just grab your McDonalds and go. I do not blame the franchise owner too much or the staff because of the rough crowd that this location attracts but it does detract from the dine-in experience... also the take out experience if I think about it. Just imagine just getting a very watered down (barely any syrup Coca-Cola with your order when you get to where you are eating the take out. Would not be pleasant at all lol.
Compared to European McDonald's, there is a wider variety of burgers and drinks available here. The service is quite fast, but the ambiance is not very attractive. The restroom is located near the cashier's table.
Each time I visit this restaurant, I always encounter a homeless person or sometimes even more. However, the convenience of this McDonald's location is what sets it apart.
