Mengrai Thai - Toronto

Three of us recently had a wonderful meal at this interesting restaurant. First course was called Divine Crispy Morning Glory - lightly battered Thai spinach topped with sweet chili and tamarind- palm sugar drizzle. This was an absolutely amazing disk, you have to try; no doubt you will not be disappointed. Next I had the whole red snapper in Penang curry sauce - another wow dish. Lightly battered, flashed fried produced a crispy fish. Totally wonderful and personally I found this outstanding.The chef was an Iron Chef and her cooking sure demonstrated some of her skills.I will definitely visit again in Toronto. So much more to try.

We 6 of us visited today for the lunch. Exemplary service and EXCELLENT food. We were welcomed by the manager first and then they served us all food. Their dish "54" was the BEST.

Wonderful. Food and great serviceI ordered the classic pad Thai and ate it all!! I couldn't stop myself. It's very authentic Thai and intimate- upscale setting, with moderate prices. Celebrities go there becUse it's great food and gem in the rocks - its pretty hidden.I would suggest this for a date or family function:-)

My first time at this Thai restaurant. My kids have been there to eat several times and asked if we wanted to have a family supper there one night. Great choice! I had the chicken pad Thai that was delicious - I'll never have a fast food pad Thai ever again! There are several curries to chose from, and the basil chicken stir fry my husband ordered was light, flavorful, aromatic, and the basil like the one growing in my herb garden. There were vegan, vegetarian, and GL choices so my son's girlfriend was in food heaven. The appetizers were delicious, and various rice choices we ordered were cooked to perfection and delicious. I will definitely go back for another meal or two, and will try the curries.

I ordered a vegetable green curry (10 on their spiciness scale!) and was rewarded with a meal full of freshness and flavor. The service was impeccable, and the owner's hospitality was exceptional. It was a culinary experience I will definitely want to repeat when I return to Toronto.
