Between movies and preferring not to brave the miserable weather and windy and wet Yonge Street looking for something else, I chose Milestone's over the only other inhouse restaurant, Burger King, in the otherwise culinary wasteland of Empress Walk. I was happy I did. Excellent service by the male bartender/server and another female server provided timely attention to replacing my empty iced tea and bringing my soup and entree promptly. The mushroom soup was rich and flavourful and my chicken gluten-free penne with a creamy pesto sauce was equally delicious. The Mexican-themed special menu featured some creative dishes. The regular menu has many interesting options and fellow diners appeared to be enjoying what looked like nicely-plated dishes. I would definitely recommend Milestone's and will consider planning to eat here in the future.
Had diner there a couple of years ago and it was very nice. This time i did not enjoy that much. Service was accommodating though.
My husband and I went for dinner at this Milestones restaurant because generally we like Milestones. The place needs a facelift and the service was a bit slow considering it was half empty (Tuesday night). We both ordered the prime rib which was very tasty but more fatty than your typical prime rib. For the price and in comparison to other Milestones it was sub-par.
We've passed by Milestones for years but always opted for the Pickel Barrel. But being in Toronto for the pride parade last year we thought we might try Milestones and maybe make it one of our new pit stops. This turned out to be a bad idea. We arrived at the young st restaurant at around 10:40pm on July 3rd, we were seated and our waiter stopped by and took our drink orders, 2 glasses of riesling and shortly after taking our drink orders a young woman arrived and said she would now be our server and asked if we would like to order and once again we ordered 2 glasses of riesling and were told that the Kitchin would be closing at 11:00pm, and that we needed to order now if we wanted food and that was fine with us so we, at that time decided to stay only for drinks, until a family of 5 came in at 11:10pm and received 5 dinner plats well after 11:10pm. This was a little disturbing anyway we asked for the manager and we were told that the server flat-out lied to us because she didn't wan't to serve us, well the only thing different between the two of us, me and my wife and the table of 5 is that we were an interracial BLK
