I was here today while on a solo trip to Toronto to explore the amazing foodie culture this beautiful city has to offer and I stumbled upon this place in lesliville in east Toronto. I couldn’t have chosen a better place for breakfast. The guy who served me at the counter was really friendly and down to earth. He made sure o was ok the entire time asking me if I needed anything else. The food was really good! I can’t complain at all. Service 10/10! The cooks had those nice synchrony, it was almost like yo were at a family restaurant. I highly recommend it if you’re in Toronto!
This is a friendly little diner in the up-and-coming Leslieville area. It has a small, tight menu with items like 'Chocolate Elvis ', huevos and more. I have eaten here numerous times with my wife, also with work pals. My fave is their Cobb salad. Its a smallish kinda ' place, so weekend brunch will be crowded. That will only become more of a factor as the smazillion new condo towers being built nearby are complete. Best time for us is late lunch/mid-afternoon. Great service, great coffee, great volume of music (i.e. not too loud). Not open for dinner. Please leave yer newspaper for the next folks to read. I am done. The end.
Our family has an unofficial list of restaurants we will consider our favourites. This is one of them. It is a very unassuming little neighbourhood place. I had the Velvet Elvis delicious! My boyfriend had the burger quite good with yummy fries. I would say it is a breakfast/lunch place and I imagine very busy on a Sunday morning. We were there for a late weekend lunch and it was still full!
Visited this place a few times whilst living on queens and was never disappointed. The food is plentiful, atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are lovely. Will certainly make the effort to come back some day.
