Pearl Harbourfront Chinese Cuisine

I visited on Sunday with a friend. We reserved ahead of time because we were hoping for a table at the windows. They were able to accommodate us with a table right at the window so we had wonderful views while we enjoyed our excellent dim sum. This is my favorite dim sum place in Toronto hands down! The Pearl is justifiably famous for their Hockey pucks which are my favorite. But don't overlook humbler dishes like the turnip cake and sticky rice which I feel they do better than anybody else. We had the mango pudding (in the shape of hello kitty which I adore) and the black sesame balls to finish. Both dishes were fresh and delightful. The service could be a bit more attentive. But on a busy Sunday I understand the demands on the staff. And the dim sum is so excellent I would still prefer to dine here than anywhere else.

Wonderful food, and if you can get near the windows, a great view over the harbour. The joint is hopping on the weekends, so make a reservation to avoid line ups.

This is definitely a great dim sum option in Toronto. It is clean and has a nice view. If you've eaten at a lot of dim sum joints, you'll know that it is not always clean. The options are a little limited compared to some other places but there were still plenty of options. I loved the scallop dishes they had, especially the scalloped taro with a hint of curry.
