Playa Cabana Taqueria Norte - Toronto

I ordered take out, 1 Elotes and 3 soft chicken tacos. The tacos is salty, the Elotes was cold and under cooked, I was told it is grilled and it was not.I paid$33, it is pricy considering the quality of food. However, the staff who placed my order was nice and helpful.Would not recommend it.

I've been here twice. The service is great but the food is average. The three star review is for the lack of cleanliness. Both times I've been here, the tabletops have been disgustingly sticky, as if they're never wiped down. Not very appetizing.

The food was better than I had expected.We had the beef short rib burrito which was full of flavour and quite hefty in size and the Ensalada Picada. The salad was one of the most refreshing and enjoyable salads I’ve ever eaten in a taqueria style restaurant. The many ingredients were a great mix, the lettuce was crisp, cold and super fresh. It was sliced thinly enough not to have to struggle with big pieces which is a plus for me. The dressing was delicious. The salad itself had the right amount of dressing (many places drown the salad with dressing, this place did it just right), the lime dressing wasn’t too sour, the bowl was chilled. Everything about it was perfect.So happy that Playa Cabana is now in midtown and quite accessible via TTC.Service was great too, very friendly, helpful and attentive.

Super cute restaurant with friendly folks and delicious food. Get the corn (elote) while it’s still in season!! La Truck tacos were wonderfully seasoned and generous portions. Agua Fresca was so refreshing with the tacos and corn.

You’re guaranteed delicious food from this cozy Mexican restaurant in the heart of midtown. Don’t be fooled by the small-ish menu options: everything on it comes as a large portion.I highly recommend the street style burrito with chicken. Though everything you order will be good.Dietary restrictions: Server asked if anyone had dietary allergies or restrictions after we all ordered.
