REDs Midtown Tavern - Toronto

We decided to have dinner in the outside dining area of Reds Midtown Tavern because it was a lovely Toronto night.

With so many upscale fast casual options in Toronto, Reds was pretty disappointing.

I visited Reds a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised.

We had an incredible dinner experience at this restaurant! The service was attentive and friendly, with great suggestions. The cocktails and wine selection were excellent. We enjoyed playing games while waiting for our food. We decided to go all out and ordered the tasting menu, which was delicious even though we couldn't finish it all. No regrets at all! (And we had a delightful breakfast the next morning).

The restaurant consistently delivers fantastic food and service. It can be a bit noisy, but it is designed more as a bar or hangout spot. The roast chicken dish may be on the pricier side, but it is absolutely worth it. The accompanying potatoes are the highlight of the meal, with a perfect balance of crispy exterior and tender interior.
