Rustic Social House - Toronto

I wanted to take my mentor's widow, who I have known for 25 years and recently passed away, out for a Christmas lunch. The Rustic Social House was conveniently located across the street from her condo. Despite some less-than-stellar reviews online, I decided to give it a chance due to its location. I am so glad I did! Both my guest and I enjoyed ourselves, and our host, Melisa, went above and beyond to ensure our lunch was enjoyable. I will definitely return to this establishment the next time I'm in the area, and I highly recommend that you give it a try too! Thank you, Melisa, for your kindness!

This restaurant is really struggling. No one knew how to turn on the heat on a cold Sunday. Thirty minutes after ordering, we were told that the printer wasn't working and the kitchen didn't receive our order, even though the kitchen was just two steps away from the printer station. The coffee was cold and the server didn't know how to heat the milk. There were a lot of issues overall.

I had one of the worst meals ever at this restaurant. The brisket tasted nothing like real brisket, more like deli meat.

Love everything about Rustic food,drinks, people, music. This spot is becoming my weekly go to. Great neighbourhood feel. Always have a great meal and anyone I bring loves it.

Although some of the reviews of the restaurant on the internet were not so favorable, I decided to give it an attempt only for its favorable location. I'm glad I did it! My guest and I had a great time, and our host (Melisa) went out their way to make sure our lunch and stay were quite pleasant. I will return immediately to this place when I am in the neighborhoods, and I suggest you try it too!. Thank you Melisa!
