My boyfriend and I went inside and the server said we can sit anywhere so we went outside to sit on the patio. We waited 10-15min for the server to bring the menu. She did not so we had to go inside and grab it ourselves. Once she came back, we proceeded to order, in which she stated breakfast was finished. This is not the first encounter. It seems like this is an ongoing issue and I will not be back.
Very rude server on Oct 1st. She messed up our order and made us wait very long, then messed up the bills, and when we tried to tell her that bills seems incorrect she called us rude, how ironic! You don't really have to put your anger on customers.
Sadly our visit on September 4th was not a pleasant one. We visited Sicilian Sidewalk Cafe to enjoy a coffee and ice cream on their patio. Our server was not at all pleasant! Slamming chairs around getting tables ready, mumbling obsenities under her breath, not attentive at all to her partons. Had to ask several times for water, napkins at one point, as this person set my coffee down mumbled for F-sakes because this person was annoyed with the patrons at another table because they were moving their chairs around. I understand people have bad days, so I left a tip giving this person the benefit of the doubt. BUT.....you are in the service industry and people visit your establishment to enjoy their time there not to feel someone elses stress. If you are having a bad day, either manage the emotions or please, take care of yourself and take a mental health day. Coffee ice cream was great
To me, when I hear Italy/ Italian food, my first thoughts are gelato. Thus, I wanted to try gelato in Little Italy as I expected it to bring back memories of my first gelato experience in Italy. This is not what I experienced at all, instead I got ice cream with a regular cone. I was soo looking forward to a waffle cone, but was glad I said cone because my friend didn't even get a cone and was not even asked. That is to say, the waitress did not inquire more on our orders. Also, I handed her my credit card to pay for my order way before we left and she requested my credit card as we were ready to leave saying she hadn't charged me earlier. What was she doing with my card then? Additionally, later when I tried the tiramasu, it just tasted like one that I could find at a grocery store rather than bringing back Italian memories. It was quite disappointing that a non-authentic Italian place within the city offered better gelato than this place; thus, I would not want to return to try other items on the menu.
What's Sicilian about that I don't understand, we walked almost one km to get there, to find out that the made bacon, eggs and american breakfast? Plus the counters were empty and there was no pastries on display. Come on!
