Zeallys Bar & Grill - Torquay

We enjoyed a delicious meal with excellent service at this restaurant. After passing by and being drawn in by the enticing BBQ smells, we decided to give it a try. We ordered a variety of BBQ items from the menu, including the Californian burger and the lamb kofta, both of which were absolutely delicious. The service was top-notch and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.

We were presented with horrific foods, steaks ordered med rare and med came well made, salate visible off, cheese tasted like mold and was inedible and mushroom gravy consisted of engraved with crushed mushrooms thrown up. we obviously complained and the one. owner was angry took the food away (the best part of the night) and came back to say he tried it and it was perfect! it seemed like he was the chef in this night and was very clear that he had no qualifications or he simply did not care about the experience of others. as pregnant I didn't want to risk getting sick from the food and the other 3 in our party it could either not so for the first time in all our lives we live out of a restaraunt without eating, and without apology from their rude aggtessive manager / owner either!

We waited for 40 minutes for our food and after eating, we immediately noticed the following; salat was shaken up and old. the mushrooms were scooped up and old in the Schnitzel-Gravur. steaks were moderately rarely ordered and well presented over boiled,...blacker wein was served off and had to be replaced. moldy cheese on parmigiana. a hair was knitted with my salat, all the other foods were free from obvious contaminants. after we put this food and approx. 5% of them tried, we informed the man who served us that it was not normal, and we wouldn't consume it. we explained and showed him the specific ones outlined above. he took the food out of the table and returned a few minutes later and said that he had it “taste” and it was “complete”. he refused to give us a refund for eating, despite the 95% uneaten plates away and their disposal.

My partner and I stayed at the attached motel, which was perfect in all the necessary aspects - location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, when it came to the restaurant, I was initially uncertain as it seemed a bit too casual for dinner. Despite feeling a bit tired, I must say that the restaurant itself was a pleasant surprise. The ambiance and food were exceptional! The scotch fillet was cooked to perfection and the pepper sauce was delicious. Overall, a great dining experience.

Casual dinner on a winter Saturday night. Good menu casual setting. Surf and turf was good priced well; mixed grill was plentiful and good quality. 1 staff member doing waiter/barman/possibly even chef but he coped well with the 5 tables of guests. Certainly...didn't look flustered! Not a bad selection of food nothing fancy. Not a setting for a romantic night out but more than adequate for a casual dinner.
