Brasserie At The Bay - Torquay

Excellent fine dining restaurant with polite and friendly staff and a great wine list. My partner and I were down in Torquay for the weekend and decided to go for an evening meal. We had an elderflower fizz before the meal in a sumptuous lounge area whilst we reviewed the menu. When we were shown to our our table the service was professional and friendly with the staff very knowledgeable about the menu and pairing the wine with particular courses. All food was served promptly but not hurriedly and was of a very high quality, absolutely delicious! Will definitely go again and you should too!

Fabulous decor and service. Assiettes that stood out were the mussels in a Thai inspired broth, well balanced with a good kick of chilli and the carpaccio of beef, beautiful quality meat dressed with decent olive oil, truffle and parmesan.

My wife and I sampled 5 dishes from the Assiette menu including a bottle of wine which were all excellent and the Pork belly was particularly good. This was complemented by a delicious treacle tart for dessert. An excellent value meal in a lovely setting. Recommended.

Very attentive and made to feel special undeserved as it was. Lovely customer service. Food excellent.

Our first time at this restaurant. Pleasant environment though English Riviera rather than French Brasserie. Food was all very good although the portions were small.
