What about this place in the middle of the pine forest of Viareggio? Pure magic! Historic place and for decades you can enjoy ice creams here but... the real gem are the freshly fried donuts (here they call them donuts) and sprinkled with sugar. We also had a hot brioche-like dish with ice cream inside... what can I tell you !! P.s. the donuts arrive from the kitchen (in sight) on a small airplane that goes back and forth and drops them into the sugar... to be seen!!!

Going to get fried donuts with my grandfather, waiting for them to arrive brought by the torpedo Pippo is among my most beautiful childhood memories. The torpedo still exists and over the years they have also invented the donut filled half with Nutella and the other half with cream: definitely delicious!
