I have to say, that in the multiple times we’ve visited the resort we have stayed away from this restaurant thinking that we didn’t want to pay out of pocket. But I have to say that I’m glad that because we were reserve guests, our stay included a dinner at Sal! This is a good way of introducing guests to the restaurant! I love the decor, the host was very friendly and walked us to our table where we greeted by our amazing server! He did an amazing job explaining the menu and what came with our stay which were great selections. He did not pressure us to get anything additional which I liked! From the appetizers, to the steaks and dessert everything was cooked with care. I have to say their Gem salad was amazing, I would go just to have that! We did ordered a bottle of wine which was extra but it was worth it as the ambience in the restaurant lends itself to that sitting in there enjoying wine and chatting. My only recommendation would be for them to have a charcuterie option to go with the wine. Going back to the steaks, the New York teak was well seasoned and cook as I ordered it. We didn’t care much for the picanha. The sides were delicious! I would definitely return and order the New York! They also have a tasting room that can sit up to eight people! I would definitely return to this restaurant even if it wasn’t included with my stay!
We loved Sal, as Reserve guests we had one visit included for free, otherwise we would have had to pay. I am being more critical considering this is supposed to be premium experience. It was our anniversary dinner, and we loved the steaks! Everything was beautiful but the portions were too big! Our favourite meal of the night was the steak tartare. They don't accept walk ins, which is why I was a bit disappointed that there was no one to welcome us (but a cleaner, who was sweeping the floor during dinner service, bless her soul) and then we had to wait over 20 min for our drinks. We chose premium cocktails, and they ended up giving us them for free as we had to wait (we did not complain, they offered). Giving it a low score on ambiance as it was VERY cold and there is no view.
