Right you’re in Santa Cruz where to eat? Don’t go any further than Vela D’Ouro! We’re having the crab and lobster rice and to put it in Anglo Saxon vernacular it is absolutely off the hook a beautiful confection of rice, crab, lobster and kink prawns it is absolutely delicious you can’t go wrong! To accompany the delicious rice dish I recommend Herdade das Servas white good enough and strong enough for the seafood dish

Everything was delicious. Starters included bread, fresh shrimp, olives, two cheeses (including this super fresh cheese that was like mozzarella or burrata). The sapateira is a rice and seafood stew. The bacalhau com nata has a mashed potato topping, like a shepherd's pie. We also had the polvo (octopus with baby potatoes). Everything was good.
