The menu offers French food, but with plenty of ethnic influences from other kitchens, but all was prepared with a masterful French style. The entrée was sublime, buffalo mozza in a lobster bisque-like sauce, topped with crevettes and sprouts, great dish. The main course was a lamb/veal kefta patty, topped with fresh hummus, very nice. The dessert, well, it was masterful. I am a chocoholic and love dark chocolate with salty caramel, so had to order this dish. It was essentially perfect, perfect, silky ganache, probably around 65-70%. It had a crumbly chocolate topping with crunch and a surprisingly tasted salted whip cream dollop and freshly made caramel dripped around the outside of the plate. Simply perfect!Highly recommend this little gem for a highly satisfying dining experience.
I came as part of a work party. I ordered Tatin, duck in a vanilla sauce and sorbet, at 29 euro.It was an amazing meal. The duck in particular - the Toulouse speciality so I'm told - was extraordinary. The sauce was amazing and the whole experience was extremely satisfying. When we had finished with the first course the waiter ensured we all had fresh cutlery, and the service and atmosphere was excellent. As the food was reasonably priced, great value for what we got, I was quite happy that we'd chosen to go there. I would go again if I visit Toulouse in the future.
Location and atmosphere nice, waiter funnyBUT food disappointing for the price althoug presentation was niceVery very small pieces of foie gras in the starter (+4€ for this dish)Huge slice of boiled squash under my small duck magret strips, not tasty at all and pumpkin seeds still on it!chocolate dessert was lovely, i must admit
I went to this restaurant for a business dinner. We were staying at la place du capitole and it s only a short walk away. We arrived a bit early so we just waited outside. Upon entering we were welcomed with open arms. The restaurant is small and cosy but the way you are treated makes you feel like you just entered a michelin 3 star restaurant. We ordered food whilst the owner recommended us some bottles of wine (all very affordable). It was an absolute delightful experience at a very resonable price. We stayed in Toulouse for over a week and this was the best place we had the pleasure of experiencing. If you are looking to have great food and a very local experience don t miss out and visit this restaurant. It s a hidden gem but it would be a shame not sharing such an experience with other foodies.
Had the lunch menu for 15 euros, 3 courses innovative tasty food, friendly service and excellent value for money.
