Good menu to discover the food from the south of France in a very central district. the wine list is also complete. the decoration is also quite original with many toys. the only bad sign is that the staff takes very bad critique....We complained that the service was exaggerated between directed, and the server and later, the manager were very rude with us; they responded to a very unacceptable way to a customer. I'll never repeat.
We are staying not far from this restaurant and walked by it quite often. It always seemed to be busy so we decided to try it out for dinner. The decor is great and contrary to some of the other reviews we found the service...to be very good. The food did not live up to the decor or service. We didn't have any complaints, but we felt that for the price there are many better options in Toulouse.
The location of the Bistro/restaurant is fairly central so a good spot if you happen to be around the Metro station François Verdier nearby the Halle aux Grains We booked at table for lunchtime if you do not like busy places make...sure that you turn up at 12 noon when it opens The owner of the place is quite straight to the point so don 't expect too much drama/attention seeking ... The dishes were quite yummy I had the Salade Terre Mer : mix of toasts of foie gras, with seafood on a bed of salad this was a main . From the recollection from the other guests, they found there food very decent. Beware, the menu displayed on the website doesn 't reflect the real one It has outdoor seated area located on the pavement , so possibility of enjoying a sunny day too It is an address we will try again for lunch PS: for Pork meat lovers especially fond of French Charcuterie , the restaurant uses a Pork cured meat local Producer called Maison Garcia which seems to be a very good well recognised producer of sausages and Pork cured meats [hidden link]
Since my last review a year ago we have returned twice and both occasions Sunday afternoon and both occasions are the 2nd Sunday in the month there is joyful full jazz music. the menu changes between a short table d’hote menu and a wider a la carte...with some nice decor. for regular visitors it would be good to expand the menu and see some new dishes added or changed. However, the venue is a more sociable as always and a great place to enjoy with family or friends.
