L'alimentation - Toulouse

There are 3 tables for 2 next to each other under the stairs, probably the worst tables in the room. When we asked for a table for 2 we were offered the middle table in between 2 other couples who were already dining. We didnt want to spoil their evening. There were many many empty tables in the restaurant but we were refused these as they were only for 4 people. You just know you could finish your meal and nobody would sit at the table you had requested. I hate these rules. Reluctantly we left. Found a great Italian instead. Great table, great service, great food. It’s not the first time we turned up to L’Alimentation and had the staff p on our night. Never going to try again. Great for groups. Not for romance.

Food was really good, service más mediocre… too bad they do not do even the minimum effort to provide at least an acceptable customer service

Would love to give it more than five stars. Hit the spot and how. The Choux Fleur (Cauliflower) was out of this world and the filet steak done rare was more butter than meat. The fries too were prepared to perfection. Dessert looked good but we were too replete to have any more. A must stop for anyone going to Toulouse. The ambience, service and everything stood out from the usual. The other good thing is that it is open till 0200. The crowd was mainly young professionals and the vibe was good backed up by good music. Don’t expect a conversation, just enjoy the food, ambience, friendly service and everything else. Very reasonable.

Lovely place, quiet street. Great staff, very friendly and playful. Great choice of tapas. Choose 2 and you will have had a good meal! Large number of wines. Will return for sure.

Gorgeous tasty lunch in stylish restaurant. Excellent service. Staff well-trained. Limited wine by the glass at lunchtime so only one red and one white by the glass, presumably to drive down the price so can buy in greater volume. Plenty of space between tables so just the right amount of background hubub but not obtrusive. Some female staff busy prioritising flirting with male colleague behind the bar instead of helping fellow female staff when they need assistance, which is a pity. Immaculate cleanliness. All customers look happy and relaxed and tucking into a great meal and soaking up the convivial atmosphere.
