We saw good reviews on here and following these reviews we tried to get there not long after opening to avoid disappointed. We got here about 10 minutes after it was due to open but it was still closed. Thinking that we might have been too keen we went for a 10 minute stroll and circled back which by this time the gentleman was just opening up. We asked if we could take a seat and he kindly put the tables & chairs out whilst he continued to open up. We ordered a couple of coffees whilst having a browse of the menu, which was very good. The gentleman ran us through the menu, as it was all in French and we weren't too sure on some of the words, and made recommendations as well as informing me how he could swap in & out bits if I didn't want the blue cheeses. We were informed that there may be a few minutes delay due to him just cooking the baguettes, which we thought made it even better. I had a breakfast baguette which had ham and 3 or 4 types of vegetables that had been recommended whilst my girlfriend had one which was half duck & half ham, both with different types of cheese. Both baguettes were delicious and filling plus the service was very good from the waiter. As people have also mentioned it is pretty small inside but we found it nicer to sit outside and watch the day start down the busy street. Don't be put off by the slight delay in the opening as I believe it was the French/Toulouse way as we noticed lots of the other shops & restaurants around us still opening after we left.
I ate here a couple of times while on vacation. The food is amazing; the staff friendly. I will definitely go back if I have the opportunity.
This little place it's a perfect solution for a quick lunch in Toulouse. It's settled in a good position half way from the Capitole and Saint Sernin in one of the most pitoresque and touristic street of the old city. You can have a large variety of bocadillos and panini and more in general of tapas from the Occitane tradition and Pyrenees. The ingredients are really fresh and you can taste that are really local and well mixed. Even the drinks selection is not commercial at all and you can choose between a range of local soft drinks as **** oranges limonata.Staff is always smiling and available to help to take a decision advising about what is the fresher daily products. The value is really good.
Tried the 'Oh My Goat' bagel, it was good! The bagel is crunchy and soft to eat. The staff is friendly and she can speak good English. Excellent service!
The food at Occi Fast is wonderful. It is served quickly, but made with fresh ingredients. The staff is super accommodating, and there is great music playing. I'm not sure there is a better spot for lunch on rue du taur in Toulouse, especially considering the great prices.Oh, and their coffee doesn't suck at all (unlike a lot of the coffee in France, it appears as though they actually clean the espresso machine!)
