Eli's Bagels And Deli - TOWACO

I used to go here when it was across the street... we haven't been since they moved.. went on Sunday around noon my husband and i were 2 out of the 3 people in there. The kid at the counter was SUPER nice.... but the owner is a complete jerk.the OWNER made our sandwiches wrong, we didn't realize till after we got home. we ordered one sand with bacon the other with taylor ham. We got one with sausage and one with taylor ham but the taylor ham was on the bagel that the bacon should of been on. So I did what anyone would do... call the shop to let them know and see how to get a refund as we don't eat sausage.. well the owner picked up and boy was he not happy I called.He went off and was defensive at first saying no way the order was wrong so i said well I would say maybe we got someone else's order but we were really the only people in there as the person before us left before our order was ready. Finally he admits he may have made the sandwich wrong but then made a comment saying you cant eat sausage but you can eat bacon and taylor ham.... Not sure why what I can and cannot eat matters to him and why he would say it like that.. I can't help but think he was being judgey about religious beliefs but my reasoning for not eating sausage is none of his business nor should it have mattered.He refused to give me a refund unless I would bring the bagel back to then I was like okay that's fine ill come back next week with the bagel which I don't think he liked that answer because I'm pretty sure he wanted the sandwich back so he could reuse or sell it.... NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My husband ended up going back because he couldn't believe how I was spoken to and guess what... the owner left for the day SHOCKER!!!! He seems to be all talk but when someone shows up to confront him he runs away like a little baby. This owner needs to let his staff take control of the business and walk away as he's doing more damage to his shop himself than any of his employees.The employees were super nice to my husband when he came back and they were understanding of why we were upset and how the food was wrong.As for the OWNER if you're reading this GO TO THERAPY! you have a lot of issues to work on as your reviews are all complaints about you. You should be more appreciative of the staff you do have because idk how or why they would ever put up with you and your nasty attitude.

I got some bagels, cream cheese and some lax bagels with salmon and cream cheese today. They delayed my order and helped the people who came in later. Food wasn't fresh and they were rude.Food: 2/5

Wanted to give them a try again since they moved to a new spot across the street. Absolute garbage. I’m not usually inclined to ever post anything for a review, but when there is no effort by the owner to put a quality product out and also selling things that are expired, I’m going to say something.Bagels tasted like they were made two-three days ago. Taylor ham was way over done. Got a bagel with lox, one slice of lox on each side of the bagel, and I was sold an expired drink from 9/23/2022 and it’s now 6/26/2023.Never, ever, go here.

After being warned numerous times about the owner having very poor customer service, I still bought bagels from them. I gave them the benefit of the doubt as I never was there when this 'animal ' was there. The other workers were always very pleasant. They would greet us with smiles and wish us luck at the days events. However something was different this morning. As my daughter and I walked in, I noticed another mom walking out with her 3 children with no food in their hands. We went in and waited in line to place our order. There was a gentleman that walked in after us. We were supposed to be next, however this other gentleman was served before us. Shocked I quietly asked this man (I believe the owner) why the other man who was after us was rung up before us. Misunderstanding what I said, he began to raise his voice at me. I tried to politely correct him telling him which gentleman I was referring to, and that was when he went into a yelling rage and snatched our two bagels and drink away from us. I then had to demand my money back from him that he already put in the register. Very disappointed in his lack of respect for women and his customers. It 's a true shame, as his employees were great and respectful. I always give small businesses the benefit, however when I went to another bagel shop nearby, they were able to tell me exactly which bagel shop I had the poor experience in. Clearly I am not the only customer who had been treated poorly.
