Apologies were made for the noisy guests seated next to us, and we were offered a different table if we desired. The service was outstanding and the sirloin steak was the best I've had in a while. I have no complaints about this restaurant whatsoever!
Excellent food and service in a beautiful environment. Good selection in the menu
Truva in towcester was only a few weeks open and I had high expectations given the excellent reviews on tripadvisor. sad I felt a little disappointed. the staff was very friendly and attentive and could not mistake them; also great is the hof location and ambience/decor in restaurant. but the food was a farewell. my wife and I shared the hot mezze to begin what was inspiring and small to serve for two people. we had both kebabs, which were very chewing and dry. many british traveling on holiday to the turkey and will have experiences real Turkish food; at truva it is simply not very authentic. the same Turkish food in the olive garden is only 500m away in the usually much better. I was really disappointed because I really wanted this new restaurant to be good that they can improve the food, because everything else was very good.
I had requested a specific table ahead of time, and the friendly gentleman who welcomed us and seated us apologized for the noisy table next to us and offered to move us to a different table if we preferred. The service was outstanding, and the sirloin steak was the best I've had in a long time. I couldn't fault this restaurant at all!
Truva, located in Towcester, has only been open for a few weeks and I had high expectations after reading the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately, I left feeling a bit let down. The staff were friendly and attentive, and I couldn't fault them. The courtyard location and the ambience and decor inside the restaurant were also great. However, I found the food to be disappointing. My wife and I started with the hot mezze which was uninspiring and a small portion for two people. The kebabs we ordered were very chewy and dry. Many British tourists have experienced authentic Turkish cuisine while on holiday in Turkey, but the food at Truva did not feel very authentic. The Turkish food at the nearby Olive Garden, just 500m away, is generally much better. I was genuinely disappointed as I was hoping for this new restaurant to be good. Hopefully, they can improve the food as everything else about the restaurant was very good.
