Portside - Town of Bayfield

Just had dinner at Portside and it was truly awesome. The queen prime rib was perfection and the serving size was overly generous. Scallops were super tender and grilled to perfection. Katie our server was attentive and never missed a beat. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We were seated on time. The staff was friendly and helpful. Both the food and atmosphere were great.

After our Apostles island cruise we decided to have dinner here. We ate on the outdoor deck overlooking the bay. The fish tacos were good and so was the fish and chip plate. The service was extremely quick.

We arrived on time for our reservation and were told it'd be a 20 minute wait. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks, the bartender was cool. After getting seated at our table, we ordered a calamari appetizer, which came out over a half hour after we ordered it. We'd ordered our entrees when the server came back and after patiently waiting another half hour, we inquired about our dinners' progress. It hadn't been started yet so we opted to cancel our order, and could tell the server was embarrassed, though it wasn't her fault. She included a free dessert before we left, which was a kind gesture. This seems like a place more suited for grabbing a drink than dinner.

I ordered smoked fish salad. It was great with blueberry pomegranate dressing. I also tried balsamic dressing which was also good. Nice helping of fish. Always the best fish from Bayfield!
