Thirsty Moose Pub Grub - Town of Colton

Whenever we visit Cranberry Lake, we always make it a priority to stop by the Moose. The staff is welcoming, the food is fantastic, and the beer is always cold. This time, we both opted for the fish fry, and it did not disappoint. The fish was tender, and the beer batter crust was light and cooked to perfection. The thin-cut potato fries were also very tasty. Our server was the only one working but managed her tables well; we were impressed by her attentiveness, and we never had to wait. We’ll definitely be returning!

My wife and I took a day trip and decided to stop here on a whim with our kids. The owner, who was also bartending, was incredibly entertaining for the children. He was very patient and provided all three kids with large coloring sheets, which was a wonderful distraction after a long day of driving. The food was delicious as well. Overall, it’s a fantastic place!

Nice place, a little dated. It could probably use some upgrades, but not too much. It may lose its appeal. The service was very good, our waitress was fun and helpful, the food was good bar food, enjoyed the whole experience.

Just stopped here for dinner and it was a doozy. Sat at the bar and was greeted by a less than enthusiastic bartender. We might as well have been served by Eeyore. We ordered drinks, a burger and a chicken sandwhich. I was not asked how I wanted the burger cooked and when I brought it up I was rudely responded with well how do you want it cooked? which is a trick question to begin with because they don 't cook anything under medium. Food came out and it was pretty decent, except for when we asked for a side of ranch and this is where it all went down hill. The bartender brought out an OPEN CUP of ranch which actually turned out to be tartar sauce?? Which she didn 't seem to notice even after she STUCK HER NOSE IN THE CUP TO SMELL IT??? and proceeded to say I can never tell the difference between ranch and Bleu cheese We were dumbfounded. Never have I ever experienced something like this. 10/10 do. not. recommend.
