While not the worst in my 50+ years as a McDonald's customer, it was far from the best. Unfortunately, it seems to be a trend at McDonald's in general lately.I travel a great deal for work and often the drive through at a fast food chain is my most convenient option. Yesterday, when I arrived at this location off of I-40 near Garner, it was not that busy. However, from the time I ordered to the time I had paid, it was 2-3 minutes, with only 1 vehicle ahead of me. Then, when I got to the window for my food, it was 1-2 minutes before someone came to the window. She then attempted to hand me the wrong drink multiple times and I had to keep telling her it was wrong until she finally got it. When she handed me the correct drink, it had Orange Hi-C all over the outside and was a mess. (I got Hi-C because the soft drink machine was broken. Fortunately, I had napkins in the car. She comes back to the window and tells me that it will be a while, can I pull forward. So I did. Another 6-8 minutes goes by, my food finally comes. I am now nearing 15 minutes for a drive thru order. I pull out onto the road, reach into my bag for my fries and the container is broken and they fall all over the place. (Please see attached photo. I can't believe an employee thought it as okay to give it to a customer. So, I reach into the bag for napkins to clean my hands after picking up my fries, no napkins. Oh, and the fries were not even hot. The bread on the sandwich was overcooked and near burnt. One of my other frustrations is that I ordered a standard meal off the menu. Nothing custom and just one person. What I got was a very substandard experience that took way too much of my time. I could have gone the the nearby Jersey Mike's and had far better food and not spent much more time.
McDonald’s may as well just take ice cream off the menu because they never have any.
It is a sure cry to give you even 1 star to be able to post a review. You deserve Nothing! The lack of enthusiasm towards your customers is appalling. It’s 4 in the afternoon and no one in line. I pull up to the window to pay and this young clueless idiot just staresme down, like in another world. Never reached out to take my money. Weird! Did he forget where he was? Then I had requested ketchup for my fries. Got home to find 3 packs of mayonnaise, no ketchup! I have to pay for my food. How about putting a little thought and effort into your job. If you can’t handle it, stay home. Let your mommy continue to take care of you and don’t take my money. No smile, no thank you, so service!
Subpar Experience at McDonald 's First Window Cashier (March 29th, 4:23 PM)Review:My recent visit to McDonald 's, particularly at the first window cashier, left much to be desired. The service was inattentive and felt rushed, resulting in minor delays and frustration on my end.Upon arriving at the drive-thru, I encountered a cashier who seemed preoccupied and didn 't fully engage with my order. Despite my efforts to communicate clearly, it felt like my requests were not being fully heard, leading to minor delays in the ordering process.Furthermore, I was very dissatisfied with the cashier 's comment stating, may you have the day you deserve, which came across as dismissive and unwarranted. Additionally, it was frustrating to observe the cashier reading a book, presumably by Yangsze Choo, instead of focusing on customer service. While I understand that busy periods can be challenging, it 's essential for staff to maintain a level of attentiveness and focus on customer needs. I also like Perhaps with a bit more attention to detail and less haste, these issues could be mitigated. In moving forward, I would recommend that management address these concerns to ensure a smoother and more satisfying customer experience for all patrons.
