Salt point has the best sandwiches. I will continue to come here. Thank you for letting North East Ford put our display up in there that hold coupons for NYS inspections.
I was traveling to the NYC area for a concert and realized, I forgot my car charger. Its the 1st time in several years that I took the Taconic State Parkway, which I am not real familiar with. I used Google maps to find a store and this is the place it showed as closest to my location. It was in the middle of a suburban farming community. It thought it might not have what I sought. I went in and asked the young man working if they had chargers. He seemed bothered that I interrupted his attention to his phone. So he said he had chargers, but failed to tell me where. I also ordered a submarine sandwich which furthered the chasm of clerk and patron. I found the chargers and they were there for years. The dust and dirt were part of the packaging. Meaning I couldn't just brush it off, it became part of the box. The sandwich took roughly 15 mins to make, I paid for my items and I left. The sandwich was fresh and really good. So for a stop that was unplanned, it solved my dilemma, I got the charger and was able to eat something before the show. The clerk, however, needs some people skills.
My husband just returned from getting breakfast here. Such a disappointment. He asked for 2 spinach wraps with egg and bacon on one and the other, egg, bacon, and peppers. What we got was a white wrap with egg, bacon, sausage and cheese and the other was egg and cheese on a hard roll no peppers on either sandwich) and the eggs weren't fully cooked! Disgusting!! All of this came to $18.00 2 sandwiches and a medium coffee). The woman answering the phone was very rude! He had asked what kind of veggies can be put on sandwiches and she said, just tell me what you want. He asked what kind of wraps they had, she said, tell me what you want. She repeated back the order, but it was still made incorrectly. Prices seemed too high, website prices are way out of date $3.50 vs. $4.50 for sandwich; $4.95 vs. $7.99 for the wrap; $5.99 vs. $7.99 for french toast, etc). Also $2.39 for medium sized coffee is a bit pricey. We have previously had breakfast take out here and food was good. Some of the add-on items range from $1 to $3 extra, leading to sticker shock at the register. Likely will not be returning to this place of business. The Salt Point Deli was recommended to us, but word of mouth also is effective to pass along bad experiences as well.
Excellent service...friendly. they remember how you like your food.
