Smokin Joes - Townsend

Our party of 6 was seated quickly and the server did an excellent job, friendly, courteous and helpful. That's where it ended....only 2 of the 6 got good food. The half smoked tough chicken was barely edible. One of our party sent hers back and cook said it was suppose to be runny red and almost impossible to remove from bone. The waitress was very apologetic for the bad food. No manager to talk to. Will not be returning. Blackberry cobbler alamode was ok per the two that got it. Stopped in while on family vacation. Decor and service was great, hence the 2 stars. The food was not great. The pulled pork was good but their sauces were a little off. I like a vinegar based sauce but this one was weird. Also, their spicy is not spicy. Their ribs were too fatty and the saltiest seasoned ribs I've ever had. The sweet potato fries and okra made up for part of it, but save your . Also noticed there was a for sale sign up as we left so maybe I'm not the only one who agrees that you should keep on driving by...

We just got back to our cabin from eating here , thought we would try it since we came back from cades cove so late, This place was HORRIBLE, Wish I had of taken pictures, My husband ordered Ribs, I ordered chopped BBQ, These ribs were not smoked and they were cooked days before and heated up, I got shredded bbq that was old , very old tasting and only crumbs really, It looked like crumbs that was left in the bottom of a pan, very dry was aweful and litterly not even enough to make a small bbq sandwich if you wanted to put it on a bun, very very old tasting, my corn nuggets were cooked days ago and heated up, we couldnt finish was a waste of money, worse food ive ever ate at a restaraunt, when the girl at the checkout ask how our food was, we told her not that good, she only said im sorry, didnt ask why or what was wrong nothing.My advice is dont eat here, I hope we dont get sick

We tried to eat here twice and the first time they ran out of ALL BBQ....the second time we wanted to sit down and eat, they were only doing drive through service...the place is up for sale and I think I know why...

When are amazing waitresses responds, we have Blackberry or Pecan Cobbler. Only answer to give is, One of each please. And yes, you are correct I did get the ice cream. Food, Service was great, and clean. I will stop again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20
