Ming's House - Townsville

Absolutely loved it every time I've been here. However I was gobsmacked by the exceptional service I received last time. We had a yum cha lunch (honestly, to die for). And I had asked if one dish had shrimp in it (as it wasn't in the title). They advised it did, my friends ordered it for themselves and I chose to not eat it. Upon delivering to the table, the lady ran out concerned and checking who was allergic to shrimp as the meal did have it. I explained I'm pregnant and avoiding shrimp but was so overwhelmed by her concern. Every dish after that they told me upon ordering if it had any foods in it that pregnant women should avoid. It is service like this (as well as the delicious food) that makes me into a regular customer. They did not have to go above and beyond for us given how busy they were. And yet they did. Not to mention every meal the server gent recommended that we'd avoided in the past ended up becoming some of our favourites. Definitely shouting their praises from the rooftop.

I went to this restaurant on Sunday and felt incredibly pampered - I wasn't even allowed to pay for the meal. I had my 90-year-old mother, who is visually impaired, with me and was unable to complain about the service or the food. Our waiter was so thoughtful, he even poured my mother's tea for her and made her feel special. She absolutely loved the food. I would definitely return to this restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone.

Always a great visit. Food hot and fresh, service excellent. Have started trying some of the unknown. The owner gave us a sample to try of the turnip cake the last time we were there and now I have to order it every time absolutely delicious and not what I imagined as I hate turnip. The mix of spices and textures yum yum.

Once again, brilliant food, brilliant service and exceptional value for money. Best yum cha in town! The friendly waiter even gave us a free bag of prawn crackers while we waited for the rest of the party to arrive. Highly recommend this place never had a bad experience here.

Had an excellent dinner here tonight with my family. The staff were very accommodating in setting up the table to fit our large pram in for our 6 month old twin babies. The service was outstanding and our meals were delivered extremely quickly. The meals were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place. Will definitely be going back soon
