Rockpool Pavilion - Townsville

The food was disappointing and lacking in flavor. The menu feels outdated and needs a refresh, and the portion sizes weren't worth the price. My kids finished their spaghetti in just two bites and were still hungry afterward. It seems like the menu is trying too hard to be creative and fancy. On a positive note, the guy with the dreadlocks had a great vibe and added a nice touch to the experience.

I was quite disappointed, to be honest. The oysters arrived at the same time as the steak, and the rest of the dishes came out later. The steak was tough to chew, the meatballs were overcooked, and the broth that accompanied them was dark in color. I had heard good things about this place, and while the location is fantastic and the staff were friendly, the chefs really let the whole experience down. Especially considering I had to pay $190 for the meal.

My companion and I had an excellent evening at their restaurant. If we are in Townsville again, we will definitely seek out great restaurants, fantastic service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you, John Newman!

I'm sad to say that the breakfast was the worst thing we've ever had. everything was burned, overhauled and tasteless. we always go to the rockpool to lunch and never had any problems with our eating. had visited some friends outside the city and had not hesitated to think that breakfast would be great. I am not a smokey person, but the eggs were cooked in a centimeter of their life, and the avocado was still immature. toast was burned, speck was burned and hard as a rock and sausage over boiled. Apparently, the coffees weren't to think either. will never go to the breakfast after rockpool! the service was great as always.

We had a GREAT time dining here. The team were friendly and very helpful, the food was flavour-rich and atmosphere was lovely. We questioned some of the prices as first, but they are definitely on par with the quality of the food (which was excellent). We will definitely dine here again!
