Rockpool Pavilion - Townsville

I'm sad to say that the breakfast was the worst thing we've ever had. everything was burned, overhauled and tasteless. we always go to the rockpool to lunch and never had any problems with our eating. had visited some friends outside the city and had not hesitated to think that breakfast would be great. I am not a smokey person, but the eggs were cooked in a centimeter of their life, and the avocado was still immature. toast was burned, speck was burned and hard as a rock and sausage over boiled. Apparently, the coffees weren't to think either. will never go to the breakfast after rockpool! the service was great as always.

We had a GREAT time dining here. The team were friendly and very helpful, the food was flavour-rich and atmosphere was lovely. We questioned some of the prices as first, but they are definitely on par with the quality of the food (which was excellent). We will definitely dine here again!

The food didn't match the price, it was okay. Service staff were lovely when they did speak to us but we felt a bit shoved in the corner and ignored. We didn't get given cutlery with our main and when asked if we wanted drinks we asked for a few more moments to read the drinks menu and then no one ever came back, which was fine but a little frustrating to see the girls all chatting at the register when we were sitting there with no drinks or cutlery to eat out meal with. The vibe was nice and it wasn't to loud, the other tables all seemed like they were having a nice night Overall for us, it was a very average experience. Not a super great date night

Service was poor no-one seemed interested in taking our order even though we were the first ones in the restaurant. The Wagyu steak was not worth the $47 and had a lot of fat on it. Both my wife and son could not even finish it. We asked for the coleslaw to be put on the side but it was placed under the steak. Staff seemed pre-occupied with the till or their mobile phone and not focused on the guests. Being new to Townsville I think this venue could be sensational given its location but the food and service needs to improve.

The service here has improved a great deal over recent months as previously it was very slow at times and a little unorganised However the cost per meal and the portion size was very disappointing although all meals were very tasty there was simply not enough on the plate for the price
