The desserts at Kinosaki Kinako "KinoKoro" may not be anything special, but it is worth noting that they are the only place in the city offering light vegan sweets. We tried the Warabimochi and Dango, both in the Kinako flavor with a side of red beans. They were soft and sweet, with a dry, rough, and cinnamony kinako texture. The red beans added a perfect complement to the taste. It is important to note that Kino Koro is not intentionally vegan-friendly, so it is recommended to check the vegan status of the food before ordering.
The desserts at Kinosaki Kinako “KinoKoro” may not be anything special, but they are the only option in town for easily accessible vegan sweets. We tried the Warabimochi and Dango, both in Kinako flavor with a side of red beans. They were soft and sweet, with a dry, rough, and cinnamony Kinako texture. The red beans added a perfect complement to the flavor. It's important to note that KinoKoro is not specifically a vegan restaurant, and they may not be aware that their desserts are attracting vegan customers. Make sure to double-check the vegan status of your food before ordering.
I loved the soybean warabimochi at this restaurant. It was simple yet incredibly delicious. There isn't much else to add, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it too.
