I noticed a number of people seated themselves but after viewing the menu, they left. The setting of the restaurant is very desirable. It sits directly among beautiful buildings that are 500 years old and in the middle of the busiest section of the city.
My wife and I stumbled upon this gem while walking down the road. There are only seven tables and the menu is only in German, which was a little tough for two Americans. We asked the solo server to help us translate and she really helped.I had the special cream of white asparagus soup and the pork saltimboca. The soup was one of the best I have ever had and the saltimboca was so flavorful with sage and prosciutto. The meal came with a small potato croquet appetizer and full salad. We both had beer and the total of the bill was 52 euros.Don't be in a rush to eat as it looks to be a small kitchen and everything is served hot and fresh. We enjoyed the meal thoroughly.
Had a wonderful off-season meal here in February when so many other places in TT are closed. Great service, cozy atmosphere and a very high quality meal.
It was our last night in Traben-Trarbach and we thought of having dinner at the above name restaurant. We were disappointed as the Schweine schnitzel was not fresh and the band noodle was bad and smelt horrible. We returned it but the waitress was not happy and when the bill came we were surprised as she over charged us!BEST TO AVOID!
