If you want a step up from Applebee's, chilis, BWW El Tap is a great choice. Also if you like spicy seafood the a la Diabla are really good!
We used to love coming here, I hate to make bad review but the food and service went downhill.. Saw a woman chef cooking not sure if thats why I used to see a guy back there cooking so IDK. Woman hear me roar and make the best food, NOT. Lady owner on her cell phone the whole time at the front table. If your not working you dont need to take up a table texting the whole time micromanaging the kids working there. Also Havent seen the local cops eat here in awhile. Maybe sunday is the only day they care but we wont be coming back
We had not been here in quite a long time. We arrived early for a Friday night and were seated promptly. We were waited on by a friendly waitress. She took our drink order and brought us chips and salsa. The salsa had a little zing to it, but was not the usual red tomato based salsa. The chips were not the best quality but were crispy. I ordered a Cadillac margarita and the vegetable fajitas. Everything was delicious. The veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly. I ate the whole thing! We finished in one hour and walked out to find lots of people waiting to be seated. The price was very reasonable for the quality of food. We would definitely return.
After taking care of taxes and checkin out the farmer's market, we checked out @jorges_el_tapatio_tracy. I asked a local where a good spot was and she gave us a couple of leads to check out in Tracy. We chose Jorge's and glad we did. Spacious spot with great drinks and service! I ordered the Cazuela. It came out in a nicely sized decorative BOWL with ample amounts of tequila, lime, orange, grapefruit, and Squirt. Yezzirr!!! Salsa chips were bomb, as well as our tasty comida. Service was quick and very friendly. Good spot to check out coming back home from the Bay, the farmer's market, or any time. Shekitout!
The restaurant was decorated nicely for Dia de Los Muertos upon walking in. No one was at the hostess stand so we waited a while until we were helped. There was also no bell to ring. In the meantime I noticed their poster for mariachi on Friday nights. We were there on a Sunday, so we missed it. We were seated to the right of the restaurant where it seems they have/had a bar and that part of the restaurant was vacant so we were the only ones there for a while. The decor is not the most welcoming, feels a bit outdated and old but has a lot of potential. Crunchy tacos: I got one shredded beef and one shredded chicken. They were pretty good. Good refried beans and rice. Flautas: My husband's plate took a while to come out because they mistakenly got his order wrong so everyone had their food except my husband. These were the skinniest flautas I have ever seen!!! Maybe just a little bigger than a boba straw, that's how skinny they were. My husband seemed to enjoy them though. His dish came with rice and beans but he asked for all-beans instead. Casuelita: We saw this on the A-frame out front while we were waiting to be seated. It came out in a cute bowl and 2 straws. I took a sip to try it and it was good. We were a little surprised when we got the bill that it was $20 though. Music: They played all Mexican classics like rancheras and others. My mother-in-law knew every single song that would come on. I could only recognize a few. Overall I would come again just to check out the mariachi and have a drink.
