Got the recorded voicemail telling me I could leave a message for a reservation request and they would get back to me but they also set aside 40% of their tables for walk-ins. I receive a call back around 430. call sounded like someone made a butt dial with all kinds of background noise and sounding like someone dropping a pen but never anyone that answered after I said hello multiple times. I called back several times after that and left additional messages to see if my reservation was confirmed, but got no answer. So I arrived at the time that I requested and the hostess told us that they had nothing available for that night and that she had tried to call me and that she left a voice message. I told her I had no voice messages and that I called them back several times with no response. I told her that your voice message says that you have 40% table set aside. She told me that they had something going on that night and had nothing, so I walked out with her trying to apologize and I told her I didn’t wanna hear it. My first and only experience with the horse Inn and it will be my last, period. Went instead to the Iron Hill brewery where I got a seat and was treated very well and had a good meal .
Horse Inn never disappoints, I ordered the Cheeseburger (forgot to take a picture) with a side of Horse fries. The horse fries are so rich but a must if you go! The cheeseburger is always solid and i’d definitely recommend. My husband ordered the Cheesy Brat and at first I questioned his decision to order a sausage until I had a bite myself. Great flavor and the toppings bring home the flavor. Overall Horse Inn is known for their mixed drinks and consistently great food. If you are only in town for a short time is definitely a good Lancaster gem to check out! Also our server Louis was very friendly and did an excellent job! Parking: Free Gravel Parking lot a block from the entrance. Don’t park on street outside restaurant.
Wanted a causal meal in Lancaster ordered a favorite at this restaurant the burger. It was very good also tried the horse fries. The first plate of fries came out not very hot had them remade. Much better but I would stick with the plane fries. I was surprised that I was charged for a kitchen gratuity plus a dollar for mayonnaise!
I had the cheeseburger. Just ok for the price. The fries are killer good. The wine list needs a lot of help.
Just ok. The food was good but portions are very small and overpriced. It is just too pretentious and snobby. The order of mussels barely came w bread, ordered more and charged $6! A bit ridiculous IMO.
