Ceylon Curry - Spezialitäten aus Sri Lanka

Warm welcome by Sri Lankan staff, friendly and competent. Weather was very nice so we could sit al fresco on the front terrace, next to the Badener Bahn railroad, some might consider this an additional treat :-) We had the mixed appetizers, done "Sri Lanka spicy", which means quite hot-- on request they offer a toned down version. Mains was a shared two-person curry dish (lamb, lentils) --superbly spiced and presented (rather nicer than the pictures show on their Tripadvisor page). All this with four beers set us back only 31 euros plus tip! A steal for the quality offered. We intend to be back, not least because they do a Sunday brunch (not à la carte), rather rare in this area. There's also a monthly lunch event on a Saturday they call a "Schmöker" (browser), when one apparently may survey all authentic Sri Lanka cuisine has to offer in lots of tiny portions.

I ordered a few times to ceylon curry. they have many vegan options and the owners are very nice and helpful.

Having eaten in restaurants all over the world and being very familiar with Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine it came as a great surprise for me to find along the ever famous wine region of the Vienna Woods this little jewel of Sri Lanka.The food is authentic with excellent curry mixtures.The service is polite and friendly without the wine region's exaggerated "welcome to the wine pub" mentality.What a refreshing change from the standard!A service oriented tiny restaurant, simple but very good.Nicely presented dishes!
