The staff resisted this for a strange reason, and then saw daggers at me and made bad comments about me, in the illusion that I could not speak and understand German. Very strange, but the food was great. People in the country can be very limited and small, I fear. Basically, customer service needs to be improved....
It is a stop along the road in the Helenental, from the terrace watching traffic past, with some typical foods, unfortunately it is nothing to really write at home.
You come from the western direction and want to drive to the lake of Neusiedler, you can choose the fast route via the autobahn, or you drive off at alland and take the far more beautiful way through the helenental to bad and then continue past the iron city to the lake. a narrow road winds along a river past forests and rocks. after a short time you reach mayerling, a historic location, a few kilometers further then the farm to cholerakapelle. he is looking on the other side, driving too fast, you are already over without finding a way to turn. this is a pity, because here you can really eat very well, and indeed everything that the Austrian cuisine, which is influenced by the Hungarian and Slovak in this, is produced to schmanckerln. the white carving is thin, the backhendl juicy and cherry alike. the trout was fresh and tender and the salads that could be picked as a supplement from the buffet were all very well made. almost even better tasted the homemade flour dishes. we were five, everyone had something else, and everyone was thrilled. we were also very done by the service. two very attentive and friendly young men served us quickly and competently, also a pleasant surprise was the price-performance ratio that is simply right here. absolutely recommended and for us in the future another reason to drive through the helenental - perhaps now even on the way home, where it should usually go a bit faster.
We drove on the way to Baden and saw this little place on our left side and that big parking space on the right side, they have good coffee and very good home made desserts
The most sloppy local I've ever seen. in front of the locally fixed snow, nothing scattered, therefore dangerous and slippery. the local itself is very, very ashamed. stained padded on the sessels. the local has no heating, so it was really cold in December. there is only one single radiator that warms exactly one of many tables in front of it. the whole thing is ice cold, uncomfortable and really ugly. in the second room there is supposed to be a kamin, but there we got no place. some guests therefore actually sat with the winter jacket during the meal. We had: 1 glass of red wine, which tasted quite, very terrible. this typical old, muffy side taste. the meat soup (2,90) - not so bad, but very, very bright, probably black and not bark. the meatstrudel: undefined, dry, very bright meat, possibly rest from the cute carved: strongly thickened sauce all around, which the manageable piece of meat acts on the first view more. the flesh was quite ok, but the riders were really good at it. essiggurkerl or senf - misdisplay. the carp fillet (13,90) - quite ok, with every amount of carrots. there is an salatable, there are no highlights. the service: a younger and an older man, not particularly friendly, sloppy looking. 2 drinks, 2 main dishes and 2 suppen incl. drinking money 40 eu. at 5 eu more I can eat in a good, clean, heated locally good food. who judges this local positiw is either the wet himself or has never been on average tasteful eating in an average good local.
