If you don't want to eat hay, go there. As in most hay restaurants, only drinks (wine) are served at the table, food is ordered at the bar. The wine is good as the food. A big plus is the large garden to eat outside and the playground for children.
We ate here a few years ago and the food was average. This time was very disappointing. We went to checkout to order. With my limited German I had to translate the menu for my adult children. They were neither familiar with food nor spoke the language. We were the only ones, and I had some questions. The young blonde cashier was clearly irritated, it took what she obviously felt was too long. She made a small comment to the older waitress behind her and rolled her eyes. Three of us ordered the soup. Only one soup was available and they said the others would be out soon. The one who came out was OK, nothing great. The other two who came out did not see or taste the same. They were greasy up and the meat was small, chewing, hard pieces full of fat - not the big delicate pieces usually found in this kind of soup. The carving was very dry and tasteless. The salads were average. No one has finished their meal. Wine and beer were the best part. Anyone who owns or operates this place must try the food. I'll say the server for our table was very nice - the checkout must take a lesson from her.
