The menu is lovely and reasonably priced. We ordered the toasted sandwich and calamari, both of which were excellent with generous portions. The staff were friendly and there was a cozy fire burning on a rainy, windy day. We will definitely return to try out their dinner menu. Overall, a wonderful place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Second time here in a week...our mains were steak for him and breaded prawns for me. Both were excellent and presented with care. Complimentary bread plate with nutty brown bread with butter curls while we waited.Lovely to see old china bring used. Always thought serving food on lumps of slate was ridiculous. Shared a dessert strawberry and rhubarb crumble. Sublime. When your waiting staff are local and charming and the food is both excellent and reasonably priced it becomes a lovely way to end the day
Fantastic meal with family and friends. We sat outside and had traditional Irish dishes. The breaded fish was excellent. The only downside was a nearby, very noisy, table, with everyone yelling and... It was hard to catch up with family, as we could not hear ourselves. Also, some people came out of the bar frequently to smoke nearby while we were eating. Would love to go again when there are more polite diners.
Very nice bar and restaurant. Lovely garden area at the back. The food was lovely, especially the beetroot starter. Friendly and efficient staff. Well worth a visit.
Sadly tomasins closed all of 2021 a casualty of covid I guess. Now it’s reopened under brand new management. It’s bigger and better but still retains all its own character. Excellent menu. Very friendly staff and very clean especially the facilities. If weather is good enough you can eat outside or have a pint in front of the pub and watch the world go by.
