Recently visited this seafood restaurant for lunch on a weekday out of season, which may be a very different experience compared to when it is busy. The restaurant was very quiet when we arrived, we were not even sure it was open. Because we were the only diners, we were able to get one of the beach side table with a great view of the sea, which was an excellent start . The service was good, the food was excellent and the prices we reasonable. Whilst not the easiest place to find, it was worth the short journey from the nearby hotel.
A quaint little family run seafood restaurant on a private beach. The quality of the food was above average with Goon Chae Nam Pla brig a highlight of our dishes ordered. The food service is rather slow as there’s only one chef-owner in the kitchen so please do not rush the kitchen, instead enjoy the view and slow pace. Please go for early dinner around 5pm to enjoy the magnificent sunset.
We went at 6pm, we were the only customers it was very quiet. A few dogs around, but no bother. Sat right by the beach watching the sunset. Food was very good, though it will help if you speak a little Thai for ordering. The menu is mainly seafood based, we really enjoyed the fried shrimp in garlic with seafood sauce and the cashew saam rot shrimp, chicken and squid. The shrimp here was very fresh. The waiters sit a little further away from the tables so you will need to get their attention for service. Take some mosquito spray with you. They close at 7pm. Even though this restaurant appears rustic from the outside, the food is fresh and the taste is good.
The food and the service were great, but there was no air conditioning. There also was a lot insects. Overall the food and service were good but the atmosphere wasn’t the best. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes: Fried Rice
