Shortfield's - TRAVELERS REST

Our group stayed here after a long hike through Caesars Head to fuel and we will add it to our list of places to go back. They have outdoor seats that dogs are friendly and very well shaded for these hot days. The staff was all super friendly and helpful and the food was so delicious!

The food was delicious! We really enjoyed our entrees. But they were light, so more of a light lunch. Even if I dressed as a cook in a woman Beater Tshirt, I wouldn't push my head out of the kitchen to look around. His appearance was not a class for the restaurant. We were the only customers there. The food took some time to cook, but the food was worth it!

We enjoyed a date to Shortfields in TR tonight and had a wonderful experience!! The food was delicious and the strawberry cake was delicious!! Happy Hour was an unexpected bonus for us! Image: Carolina Mountain trout with asparagus and mash.

It's been for a few years, but I'm so glad we came back! Our service and food were excellent.

Had dinner there this evening. Our server was Sam. He was terrific! And makes a great sangria. The restaurant is nice clean and our food came out quickly. Everything was very good. My chicken cordon blue was nice crunchy on the outside cooked properly. Looking forward to our next visit.
