Grand Traverse Distillery Tasting Room

I had a fantastic experience! Austin and Bowen provided excellent service. I highly recommend trying the chocolate-covered cherry! The atmosphere is lovely, and the place is very clean!

This distillery offered a variety of delicious cocktail choices. I enjoyed the Hot Cocoa made with their Cocoa Bean vodka, as well as the Hot Mulled Cider crafted with their bourbon. The Chocolate Covered Cherry, made with their cherry vodka (which happens to be one of my favorites), was delightful too. The Barrel Aged Manhattan was excellent as well.

Harrison was the absolute best. He took us through a tour of flavors and experiences that I would not have otherwise. He was kind and friendly and in great detail he explained the flavors and give great suggestions. We actually came up here for a different restaurant but it was closed due to not having any heat on a snowy night. Harrison truly turn this night around. We traveled from Flint Michigan which is greater than a 4-Hour Drive in the middle of a snowstorm and he made this night worthwhile. We had to go out to grab a bite to eat but we will be back before he closes so we can take the tasting that he suggested. Harrison also educated us that many of these distilled Spirits may be found at Meijer. Thank you Meijer for supporting Michigan distilleries and breweries.

Who was that curly-haired blonde guy with such extensive knowledge about the spirits at Grand Traverse? He might have just been a figment of my imagination, as he was incredibly generous with the sampler and provided fantastic tasting notes. Even though I could only stay for 15 minutes, my visit was thoroughly enjoyable, and I ended up leaving with four delicious bottles of whiskey. I really appreciated the visit and the service, and I'm very happy with my purchase!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE The Grand Traverse line of fine liquor. My sister and I always go with the GT Cherry Whiskey and GT Cherry Vodka. Amazing. The Tasting room offers liquor tasting 4 small half shots for $5) or free when you buy a bottle. Wine tastings are $8. The bar tender was also extremely knowledgeable about each spirit or wine you were tasting. Left with a large bottle of the cherry vodka, great drinking glass, bottle of wine, and a sticker for $65!!
