The interior was renovated in winter 2020 and has a large and pleasant outdoor seating area, which overlooks the campsite and the Monteynard lake directly beyond it. Luckily, there are many wide parasols to provide shade if needed. The surroundings are very attractive on a sunny day. The food was fine, but in some cases not much more. For example, the steak and the chips were just that, without other vegetables. But the starter salad was very good and good, and the desserts were impressive both in their amount and in generous portions. The Mojitos were not very good, but the half bottle of Saint Nicholas Loire wine was very good. Service was pleasant, but slow in our case, especially because the waiter had decided that we obviously had a social opportunity and were no hurry. Others were served faster than us. For the four of us, with alcoholic cocktails, half a bottle of red, a coffee and mostly 4 courses, the bill came to €188, which I near from above "adequate" under the circumstances. We would probably go again, but maybe choose for a few 'A la carte' dishes instead of the complete menu.
Thank you. The food was also very good, the service. Especially the guy with the black beard... Very nice
We made a dinner here and did not expect to find such a place on a campsite. Very friendly staff and delicious food. Good tasting frogbon, a very tasty tajin Lammeintopf and the largest macaron I've ever seen. Sad to know that it is closed tomorrow and we need to find another place
We went for a meal one evening in September whilst we were staying at a nearby chateau. There were two other diners in the restaurant on that evening. We an expensive meal, I n French, quietly ate our meal, paid the bill and left a tip. The next evening we decided to visit the restaurant again. The evening was dark with thunder and lightening in the mountains. We arrived at the restaurant at 10 to 7 and walked in through an open door. Some members of staff were seated at a table. We were approached and escorted out of the restaurant and were told they were not open until 7. No invitation was forthcoming about taking a seat for 10 minutes. My husband and I are 67 and 65 respectively. As we were obviously not welcome or valued as customers and not knowing of another restaurant in the vicinity, my husband had to drive 20 miles in atrocious weather to Grenoble to find a meal. Arrogant and uncaring just about sums this place up.
Made a de tour to visit for lunch and worth the effort. Located in a camping site the restaurant is close to the lake with an extensive menu. We went for the Fixed Prix for €20 and had more food we could eat! Ice creams are AMAZING and the service was welcoming.
